In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.” Daniel 10:2, 3

What is a Daniel Fast?

It was recorded in the Bible that Daniel fasted for 21 days, and this is where the term Daniel fast came about. Daniel ate no "pleasant bread."

It is important to note that there is more than one way to fast. Daniel did not eat anything he wanted, but he took some food.

During Daniel's fast, you are crucifying the flesh, forbidding what your body craves naturally. This will prevent your flesh from dominating your spirit. Instead, your spirit dominates your flesh.
